Casio is back with its new model, the Casio Exilim EX-Z4 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 27/8/03. This model measures 87 x 57 x 23 mm and weights 170 g. The Exilim EX-Z4 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1728. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Casio Exilim EX-Z4 has been set at 4:3, for a total of 4.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the Exilim EX-Z4 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter. Casio implemented a digital zoom on the Exilim EX-Z4 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras .

The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Exilim EX-Z4 was set at 4 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The Casio Exilim EX-Z4 has an internal memory of 16 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card. The LCD implemented in the Exilim EX-Z4 measures 2.0 ". A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
