Casio strikes back with its new conception, the Casio QV-2900UX which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented in the US on the 10/5/01. The Casio QV-2900UX will be sold at a retail price of 800in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. The QV-2900UX offers a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 800 x 600. The image ratio (width / height) on the Casio QV-2900UX has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 1.9 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the QV-2900UX is a CCD which measures 1/2.7 " with a RGB color filter.

Casio added a digital zoom on its QV-2900UX and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the QV-2900UX is 60 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Casio QV-2900UX camera has an internal storage of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Compact Flash (Type I or II).

The LCD screen available on the QV-2900UX diagonally measures 1.8 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television.
