Casio is back with its new camera, the Casio QV-R40 which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in North America on the 24/7/03. The QV-R40 delivers a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1728. It also supports a lower resolution of 2240 x 1680, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Casio QV-R40 has been set at 4:3, for a total of 4.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the QV-R40 is a CCD which measures only 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter. Casio implemented a digital zoom on the QV-R40 with an internal flash being very common in new cameras .

The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the QV-R40 is 1 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Casio QV-R40 has an internal memory of 11 mb extendable with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the QV-R40 diagonally measures 1.6 ". A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
