Casio impresses with its new conception, the Casio QV-2800UX which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was presented in the US on the 22/6/00. The Casio QV-2800UX will be sold at a retail price of 800in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. The QV-2800UX delivers a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 800 x 600. The image ratio (w/h) on the Casio QV-2800UX is set at 4:3, for a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the QV-2800UX is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter.

Casio implemented a digital zoom on the QV-2800UX and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the QV-2800UX is 60 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function. The Casio QV-2800UX has an internal storage space of 8 mb extendable with external storage with Compact Flash (Type I or II). The LCD screen available on the QV-2800UX diagonally measures 1.8 ".
