Casio arrives this year with its new camera, the Casio QV-2300UX which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 22/6/00. The Casio QV-2300UX is sold at a price of 700in the US, a great deal. The QV-2300UX delivers a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 800 x 600. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Casio QV-2300UX has been set at 4:3, for a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the QV-2300UX is a CCD which measures only 1/2.7 " using a RGB color filter. Casio implemented a digital zoom on the QV-2300UX with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .

The normal focus range is 10 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the QV-2300UX is 60 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Casio QV-2300UX includes an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Compact Flash (Type I or II). The LCD screen of the QV-2300UX measures 1.8 ".
