Casio impresses with its new model, the Casio Exilim EX-Z55 which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in the US on the 25/8/04. The Casio Exilim EX-Z55 was initially targeted at a retail price of 293in the US, no bad for all this technology. This model measures 87 x 57 x 23 mm while it weights only 180 g. The Exilim EX-Z55 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Casio Exilim EX-Z55 has been set at 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 5.0 mega pixels.

The internal sensor on the Exilim EX-Z55 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.
